Privacy Policy
How we handle the information you share with us.
Last updated 14 August 2026
Solarist™ respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit our website or get in touch with us, why we collect it, and the choices you have. It applies to solarist.com and to any enquiry, newsletter, or account form we operate.
Information we collect
We only collect what we need to run the site and respond to you. Depending on how you use Solarist, that may include:
Contact details you submit yourself — your name, email address, phone number, and the service you are interested in.
Correspondence, including the content of enquiries, support requests, and any files you choose to send us.
Technical data such as browser type, device type, referring page, and approximate region, collected automatically by our hosting and analytics providers.
Usage data about which pages you view and how long you spend on them, in aggregate form.
How we use your information
We use your information to reply to enquiries, provide and improve our services, send you material you have asked for, keep the site secure, and meet our legal and accounting obligations. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for automated decision-making that produces legal effects.
Legal basis for processing
Where data protection law requires a legal basis, we rely on your consent for marketing communications, on the performance of a contract for work you have engaged us to do, and on our legitimate interest in operating, securing, and improving the site for everything else.
Cookies and analytics
We use a small number of cookies to remember your preferences and to understand how the site is used. Analytics cookies are aggregated and are not used to identify you individually. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will continue to work, though some preferences may not persist between visits.
Sharing your information
We share personal information only with service providers who help us operate the site — hosting, email delivery, analytics, and customer support tools — and only to the extent they need it to perform that service. These providers are bound by confidentiality obligations. We may also disclose information where we are legally required to do so, or to protect our rights, users, or the security of our services.
International transfers
Some of our providers operate outside your country of residence. Where information is transferred internationally, we rely on recognised safeguards such as standard contractual clauses to ensure it remains protected.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry records for as long as needed to answer you and for a reasonable period afterwards in case you follow up, and we keep contractual and financial records for as long as the law requires. Analytics data is retained in aggregate form. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or anonymise it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, to correct it, to ask us to delete it, to object to or restrict how we use it, to receive a portable copy, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the address below. We will respond within the time frame required by applicable law.
Security
We use encryption in transit, access controls, and regular reviews of our providers to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take these obligations seriously and will notify you and the relevant authority if a breach affects your rights.
Children’s privacy
Our services are intended for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our services or the law changes. The date at the top of this page always reflects the most recent revision, and material changes will be announced on the site before they take effect.
